zebra finch help?

Brief：
i got 2 new zebra finches the other day a boy and a girl, and i put some carrot shavings in a bowl by their food, because websites said they liked it ..

plz help!

they wont eat fresh food unless the place you bought them from raised them with it and they do drink water just not tons to be noticed. Go out and buy finch seed and milit they eat and it is easy for them to crack open buy those long sticks with seeds on em and the white thing so they can eat and when they lay eggs the egg would be strong from eating those white squid tongues or somthin i forgot the name. and forget about the carrot shavings and egg kuz thats just gay. get them seeds and their food in the bags and they like to take baths so leave a cup of water out for them. plus another for them to drink and bring em outside kuz they also like that FOOL Finches are funny little birds,,I used to have 23 of them.They will eat what ever they were fed before you got them,,find out what was fed to them by the person who had them before you.I will tell you that as long as I have had Finches,,I have never seen mine eat shells,,or carrot shavings.Although they do love shell bones,,they are shaped like tear drops and you can get them in pet shops,,they love to tear up news paper,,and they do prefer a dish of water as to a water bottle,,they love to not only drink it but bath in it also.

If that does not work,,I suggest you go to your closest pet shop and ask them,,good luck. crush the egg shells like powder then sprinkle it on top of there food finches go in water every day ..they like to take baths so make sure the dish is big enough for they can get in it ,finches like milett and finch food i raised like 100 finches for a year so i learned well I find that finch do well on seed alone, usally a cuttle bone does the trick for calcium. Dont worry they wont go thirsty they will do some things only when you arent looking.
