Will my cat know that hes been n..

Brief：
In a few weeks my cat will be going under the knife, so to speak. Im just curious if hell feel different after the operation. Obviously we cant ask ou.. 

In a few weeks my cat will be going under the knife, so to speak. I'm just curious if he'll feel different after the operation. Obviously we can't ask our cats this. but it's made me wonder if they wake up and kind of freak out because something has "changed." Do cat's somehow know that a vital part of their anatomy is now gone; are they aware that something has been taken away?

We usually don't tell them what we did. ;-)

But yeah.they usually figure it out when they wake up and go to lick themselves where they normally do, and notice certain 'parts' missing. They're usually still 'enjoying' the drugs we gave them so much, however, that they just don't seem to much "care"..lol.

They don't freak out, though. They generally go on as if nothing happened, without missing a beat. There is a gradual reduction of blood testosterone levels over the next few weeks or so. It's not drastic to them, and they are long healed from the surgery before that happens anyway..so they wouldn't relate the two things together. Would you notice if someone cut your breasts off? Of course he will notice and be in a bit of pain or discomfort. But it isnt totally inhumane. His behaviour will be slightly different after too. they will will notice that something has changed about them and they are going to feel bad for awhile but just show him love and afection and he will feel better and secure Ya I got cut and I felt it,,,, and they LEFT THE HANGY DOWNY'S. He'll feel it and then he'll wonder why all the girl cats call him limpy yes you will notice changes in his reactions slowly at first then increasing with time . The first thing that will change is that he will become very interested in ladies shoes, his grooming will be impeccable and he may begin working out. You know when the process is completed when you hear him whistling show tunes and sing Barbra Streisand hits quietly to him self would you? oh they know. Oh he'll know alright.
