Will vinegar stop a cat from goi..

I'm not sure why she has been doing it. It may be to mark her territory, since my housemate's male kitten has been coming into the bathroom, and she likes to drink from the bathtub faucet and considers the bathroom "her" place. Can I spray white or regular vinegar to deterr my cat from using the bath mat as a personal litter box? What else could I do?

no no no please do not use vinager it could be poisenious t othe cat. she is probably marking her teritory because of the other cat .. is she keeps it up there is this stuff called bitter yuck aka bitter apple and if you spray it where she is going pee it will stop her.

You need to find an enzyme type cleaner just for pet urine. No vinegar is not the answer. You need to take your cat to the vet because it may be a medical problem. If that is not the reason then the cat is stressed for some reason. If that is the reason you can try a product called Feliway it reduces the stress and gives them a calm feeling. Put moth balls on your bath mat, and move the litter box to the bathroom for a couple of days. That way there is a place for her when she can't go on the bath mat. After acouple of days, move thelitter box back.
