walk thru a couple rooms in house with a pair of white socks on and socks are covered with fleas,,, and i just used foggers ( bomn=bs ) inside two day..

If the fleas are in the house-they will not die off because of the cold. They will die when their life cycle is over. Keep vacuuming often. Use the carpet powder that kills insects. yes I know how that is, it sucks!! If these fleas just kind of showed up during this hot streak than yeah it might be the weather. But if its bad they might not leave to easily when winter comes. Also, put a flea collar insideyour vacuum bag & vacuum a lot. Get frontline for the cats or soemthing comparable. Consider getting rid of your indoor pets. Make them outdoor pets instead. use flea powder on your cat once a week. Fleas die at first frost.It will be a while until then.

Foggers are okay, but you have to make sure to get the spray that kills the eggs. Make sure you hit any spot where the animals sleep and also wash everything they come in contact with. They will die in cold weather but not inside where it's heated. Ask your vet for the heartworm pills that also prevent fleas. They seem to work great! Good Luck! You may need to actually rip the carpets out and start over. Flea bombs are nice, but sometimes an infestation is worst than even they can handle. The fleas are definitely in the carpets and most likely the furniture. Before I did anything more I'd contact a professional exterminator. They will come out and seal your home completely and use a very potent gas to kill them all..there shall be no escape for them. It is a bit costly, and you have to find a place to stay for a day or two. The fleas will die down outside, but they will continue to live inside where it is warm. Fog or spray your whole house, and then vacum everything, all carpets, rugs, under couch cushions. Use the veterinary brand sprays, sometimes the stuff you can get over the counter isn't that effective. Also, of course, treat your pets. Again, use a treatment prescribed by a veternarian. The chemicals do more harm to you and don't really kill the fleas, you see?
