i have a female kitten but am leaving for 6 weeks, i have found someone to take care of her but they have a male kitten. Neither have been spayed yet. I am taking my kitten to the vet to have the injection for 3 months. Will it be ok if the other kitten hasnt been neutered yet?

If the male kitten has not reached sexual maturity, the 2 kittens should be fine. Kittens get along quite well with others when they are young. They may hiss and growl at one another in the beginning but it shouldn't last too long. If the male kitten is sexually mature, it should be neutered because whole male cats can be quite aggressive. Also, if your female is not spayed and is sexually mature, you could end up with a whole lot of new kittens! But if both are young, they should be fine together. At 6 weeks old, no. The kitten will not have a heat until about 6 months old. When a female goes into heat, they produce a scent known by a male cat, this is what attracts cats to mate. But at this young age you have nothing to worry about, have fun on your trip!
