If it quick 'grooming' type bites, this just means that he's showing affection. It would be the same thing if they were normal bites, too. Every dog has a different way of showing there love. Its totally normal. Its a possibility he does not like the way you are petting him or he doesnt like the place you are petting him at. Its also a possibility he mistakens you as another dog and does not respect you. If that is the case you must show him that he must respect you because you buy him the food and spend your money on shots, food, beds,ect. He must know you are at a higher rank. But if thats not the case and the case is your rubbing him the way he doesnt like it or you touching him where he does not like to be touched take note of it and try experimenting where he likes to be touched and rubbed and where he doesnt. Well hey maybe he could just be showing how he feels for you. He could also think you are foolish and doesnt want you touching him at all. Well thats technically disrespect so just do the things i told you earlier. So just experiment with him some more and then i garentee you will know whats the matter. Good Luck! I have a 14 week old Bichonpoo. When she would bite me I would pull my hand away and firmly tell her "no bite". Within days she learned what "no bite" means and I no longer have a problem. Another thing that works with her is if she bites during play I remove my hand and replace my hand which is unacceptable to bite with something that is acceptable to bite like her Kong or Bone and tell her "switch". She clearly understands now "no bite" and "switch" I get a lot more kisses and no more bites. I never hit her this turns dogs into agressive biters. And the tone of voice needs to be firm but not shouting. Dogs interpret a shouting voice as someone barking at them and they do not readily respond. It's a sign of dominance. Tell him "no bite" and don't give him attention for it. There are a lot of different things people say to deal with dominance, but a lot of them are a little weird. Consistent training, hand feeding, and being firm but loving has helped with our dog.
