2. Take your dog for a brisk walk at least once a day. Throw some obedience training in to keep it "busy." For example, make your dog sit before you cross any street, and whenever a person passes you.

3. Make sure your dog is on a high quality food, like fish and chips from http://www.frrco.com/121668 You feed less than regular brands because of the quality so it's only a few cents more per feeding plus free shipping. It is also great for the skin and coat, and helps ward off health problems like allergies, cancers, and other ailments.

4. Make sure your dog gets plenty of quality attention! This can be in the form of obedience training simple commands for up to 10 minutes at a time, for things like "sit" "down" and "come."

5. Train your dog to "sit" whenever someone comes to the door.

6. Make your dog do a command like sit or down before feeding it, petting it, letting it through a door, before letting it go outside, etc. The idea is to get something ( a command executed) from your dog before giving the dog something. Never give your dog a treat or food without having it do something first!
