Well i adopted it 2 days ago. But it wont eat the food. I mix wet and dry food together. also i tried giving it dry food. it wont eat none! what shoul..

It won't eat *any*.

How old is the dog? Has she been weaned? Are you feeding the same type of food? Are you feeding high quality food?

Try going to the store and getting some chicken or beef baby food. Let her lick some off the spoon. If she likes it, put a spoonful of it down in her dish with a few morsels of dry food. Increase the amount of dry food with every feeding and decrease the amount of baby food. Hopefully this way you can wean her to eat.

If you want her to stay on wet food, start slowly replacing the baby food with wet food.

And be sure you are feeding her a quality food. One that doesn't contain corn and isn't loaded with fillers you can't pronounce. Look for brands like Blue Buffalo, Wysong, Solid Gold, Wellness, Merrick, Canidae, and Natural *Balance* (not other similar "natural" products).

If this persists, she'll need to see the vet to see if he can figure it out. But with a change this major, it's fairly normal for the dog to not eat for awhile. Just be gentle with him/her and if it worries you, call your vet and ask for their advice. They'll tell you when you should start to worry. : )

Edit: Luxating Patellas are knee cap issues. Unless she is currently in severe pain from them, this probably isn't contributing to the anorexia. Unfortunately, Luxating Patellas come from breeding by unethical breeders and those of us who care about dogs end up cleaning up their mess. And for those readers of this answer, even AKC dogs have luxating patellas - this is why only responsible breeders who know what they are doing should be breeding. End tirade. Has it been graded yet? A high 3 or 4 will probably need surgery at some point to keep her comfortable and using the leg. My dog has a 1 or 2 right now (on a 1-4 scale), so she's fine and dandy, but I have to watch her to make sure it doesn't start to degrade. There may be something of use here. Try making a scrambled egg and putting some on there, or add some hot water to his food and let it sit for a while then fluff it up with a fork, or add some baby food. That's what we advice at the pet store I work at. try boiled chicken breast. IT WILL TOO EAT!!
