My pomeranian eats his poop. Why..

maybe you should clean it up before he eats it. Go to your vet and ask for a product to put in their food.it will change the smell and taste to them. We use a product called for-bid.and it works great! Some would say that your dog is lacking something in nutrition, and some would tell you that their dog didn't eat poo until they saw another dog do it. Whatever the reason, try this product, I've seen it work. eat it first Animal instinct all dogs do it it'll either be thiers or others but to stop it make sure he's well feed and when ya see him do it go over spank him on the nose or hiney and Isolate him! stop immediately this non-sense.despite the fact some answers went astray. number one -- try to change his food. number two..as soon as he/she pups.get rid of it..or better spray it with something.smelly that your dog dislikes.red pepper or vinaigrette.two products i can think of..good luck.take good care..of the pet..i care. There is alot of people say that it is a lack of something in there diet. I have ask my vet of what to do about this and he perscibed a med that i put in there food and it makes there poop smell differant and taste nasty and this really worked I dont have to do it any more but i am going to adopt 2 rescued puppy mill dogs so im sure i will have to do this agian but it dont take long for them to stop cause they dont like it after putting that in the food,,, also they have a spay that you can buy at a pet store that you can spray on the poop and it makes it taste and smell bad to where the dogs dont want to eat it
