It was his baby(Pooh Bear). It was only a little one so at christmas we bought him the big one at Sears. It was hysterical when our son unwrapped it. If he could have fainted, he would have!

He would chew EVERYTHING.from shoes, to remotes, to the crotch out of my underwear while I was in the shower, Garbage was his favorite, to the lower mattress on our son's bunk bed. Puppies are cute..;^D It depends. He could just like to tear stuff up, or he could be bored. Is he getting enough exercise and mental stimulation? Kongs are nearly indestructible, you might want to try that. no. our dog which is very small 13 lbs. tears up everything we buy him. get him a big bone like from a cows leg. that will keep him busy for a while. another thing you might want to do is get him a toy box, and only give him 1 toy a week or day. you can rotate the toys let him pick out the one he wants. let's hope he doesn't try that on a human eh? How old is he? Larger dogs are in a puppy stage until they are two years old. Needs a sturdy toy. Buy a Kong I have a golden that did the same thing. I would take his toy away and give it back the next day. Repeat if needed and usually I did have to repeat. He is 3+ now and finally does not tear his toys up, only carries them around. You would know if he is under any anxiety. If he is well cared for and has plenty of play time, just enjoy him and he will grow up. He riped up my stair carpet, ripped my sofa back 2 the wood, ripped all my cushions off sofa, remote controls, trainers and every toy i gave him chewed up in no time he was a nightmare.

I have his dad as well so he wasn't lonely.

If i went out i had 2 shut him in the passage it's good job i don't work so only left him 1-2 afternoons a wk.

Now he's a angel and i can leave all doors open and he has run of the house but i don't envy you lol No. Just sounds like typical lab behavior. You have to buy the toys that are made for heavy chewers.
