If the dog is dragging her butt, then the glans need to be popped as it is not happening naturally (usually when the dog is on a soft food diet). A groomer could do it, or a vet could show you how to do it. Or maybe she just has a kling on? that means that you never wipe your dogs but when she is done pooin. Poo must be causin a infectipon on your dogs butt. This happned to my dog. You should start wipin the butt, that will slowly stop the itching and or pain in the dogs butt. DON"T WORRY IS NOT WORMS It could be worms.

I would check with a vet to ensure that its not worms but beyond that. there isn't much you can do.. sounds like worms .bout time for a vet visit..gl well her scooting about is wiping her own butt, just make sure you dont have carpet, get her wormed, and clean up the skid marks She could need to have her anal glands expressed (yuck). They normally do that when they groom them. She could have worms too. OR, her butt could just be itchy. If she is not spayed, she could be in heat (i had a dog that dragged her butt when she was in heat), otherwise, she might have worms or like the other people said, her anal glands might need to be popped. Go have her checked out by your vet, because if it's worms other pets or family members can catch them. If she is in heat, you should consider having her spayed. Most likely the anal sacs need to be expressed. A groomer or the vet can do it. My vet, in California, charges $15.00. Your dog will be eternally grateful.
