Has she been bleeding all this time? i would ask a vet bout that Thats a large litter but even so she def. should NOT be bleeding. maybe she has a little afterbirth still inside.Take her to the vet trust me you dont want to have to bottle feed 12 babies. NO take her to the vets, 12 pups is a large litter for her first, something may have ruptured. GO GO GO! get that dog to a vet. Would you like to be bleeding two weeks after you'd pushed a baby out of your body? I don't think so. If she's been bleeding all this time there's something definitely wrong with her. You've waited long enough already. get off your butt and get her some help. You may end up with puppies and no mother to feed them if you don't. I agree with the above posts, I think the dog should see a vet just to be sure. If it's some spotting here or there, it's probably normal as the uterus needs time to heal after pregnancy, it's the same with human females that give birth.

As for the post directly above mine, your example isn't a very good one. As the father of 5 children, 2 being cesareans, bleeding in human females can happen as long as 6 weeks after childbirth and is considered normal. It generally does not happen, but it's possible. At two weeks, bleeding is still very much real after childbirth. Most woman are still spotting 4 weeks after the childbirth. Yes, it should be a brownish color.

She will do this off & on while pups are nursing her.
