Yes, they can be good tankmates. I have a Silver Dollar and an Angelfish in the same tank and they're doing just fine. Neither is chasing, nipping or harassing the other. My shy Silver Dollar got into a gregarious mood and started swimming around the tank, which he never did before. mine got along fine. I had those two together and it was fine. No problems. It was a bigger problem to have two angel fish together. These fish should get along just fine.

Both of them have a tendancy to get pretty big, but if you have a big enough tank.then no worries.

If you are concerned, try putting a lot of plant cover & a couple of big rocks or caves for them to stake out as their own territory & for them to hide in.

Good luck! I believe the girls that answered are right. My only concern would be if they were real "Silver Dollars"( Pre-1965) Or the newer ones. Any corrosion or Oxidation problems would not occur over night. It would depend on the chemicals you use for your tank. In time, the first to erode would be the Silver, which we know is deadly to fish. Your choice..LATER almost all tropical fish will get along. even Angel fish with the little neons.

I was told that angels like to come into an established community. therefore, have the silver dollars in the tank for a few days before you get the angels and introduce them into the tank.

Otherwise, they will should get along fine.

Athough they can grow big, they won't grow too big for the tank, i have a 35 litre tank of only angels at one stage and they grew to no bigger than 4cm. i asked the people at the pet sotre and they said that they wouldn't grow any bigger because of the number of fish i have. if i knly had 1 or 2 they would grow bigger.

They are all in the same tank at the pet store i go to.
