So I'm researching and I found a site that said you can mix goldies and frogs together..is this advisable?

No.

There's a few reasons.

As someone else stated, Goldfish are considered to be the dirtiest (or one of the dirtiest) fish species. They quickly contaminate a tank with high levels of ammonia from their waste. The filtration needed to keep a tank with Goldfish in it clean would create a current that the African Dwarf Frog would not like (and is not used to).

Also, Goldfish and African Dwarf Frogs require different water temperatures. African Dwarf Frogs are sensitive to cold, whereas Goldfish thrive in cold water and dislike warmer (tropical) waters.

Finally, Goldfish will pick on the smaller African Dwarf Frog so long as they are larger. Goldfish will pick on just about anything that's smaller than they are---they are not as peaceful as people lead you to believe.

Given the above.no, it's not adviseable to keep the two together. no Its ok No..goldfish are considered to be dirty fish and they put off a lot of ammonia into the water. I would not suggest putting any other types of fish in with goldfish, frogs included.. Sure, you can mix these. Both are relatively peaceful, and you won't have to worry about one eating the other. Your main concern will be not to overcrowd your tank. Normally, you try not to exceed 1 inch of fish per every gallon of water in your aquarium. But with goldfish (whose only purpose seems to be eat and poop!), their waste can be more than other fish, so try having fewer fish than the recommended ratio. Unless, you're willing to change the water more often (weekly instead of monthly), then go ahead.
