First, make sure not to have too many fish. The general rule is 1 inch of fish per gallon. Tetras are generally very resillient, so you should get some for your firts batch. Try to get community (non-agressive) fish if possible. Ensure you get a mix if fish that are 1-bottom feeders, 2-mid tank, and 3-top of the tank fish.

They are so cute, have great temperament, and you can get a male and female. They'll have a great time together. They might even have babies! One of mine did. Also, another great fish is the neon tetra or rasbora hets. Both of these are schooling fish, and need a few others of their kind to run around with and feel secure. Try the gold dust mollies and rasbora hets. That's a really good combination. Neither one of them is too aggressive, and they should mix well. Good luck.
