A Because They are so cute! because.uhhhhh .whats a kissing guramis its just a mode that all the fishes face, i belive it was past down by generations ( only becuase curisotity). They keep on intending to do this, this is why there so unique. it is a dominance type thing. kind of like how two bettas will flare up if their bowls are put too close together. They test each others strength by doing this, I have a 3 inch kisser that bullies my 6 inch albino oscars. He rules the roost in my tank, I feel sorry for the others sometimes, but all he does is a kiss and a little chase to display dominance, he'll get a good fright one of these days when the much bigger oscar bites back. only males will kiss, it is a form of fighting, like in cichlids.
