This is an answer I got to a question about my little Arab injuring his suspensory ligament and I am really irritated about it right now! Why do peopl.. 

I think more people should live by this rule dont you? Ummm... Sorry but what is the question? And you did ask, she gave her opinion in the horses best interest. She might not have had any right to tell you that you weren't taking care of him right but, you don't need to get so worked up about it. I'm really, really glad to hear your horse is going ok! I'm sorry for all our doomsday-like predictions and such... seems he didn't hurt himself so bad at all... and seems like it probably wasn't the suspensory anyway (or at least nothing serious done to it), since he recovered so fast. =) That's good news indeed!

I guess some of us can't help panicking because there are different approaches to all situations, and when we see someone doing something the opposite of how we have always been trained to do it, we get worried for the welfare of the horse in question ... at least I do, anyway. I firmly believe in the science of my personal training, which is why I get so pushy sometimes... (sorry to anyone I've offended with it thus far).

But she was definitely way out of line. I don't even know what's up with that ... she was just being bossy. You can do that over the internet, apparently. We're not real people after all. Try not to get too angry, I know how frustrating it is though. Take what you can use and throw the rest away. Just remember, people are only going off of a short typed question and do not fully understand the situation on your end, they just assume the worst and react on it. You know how badly your horse injured, I'm sure if it were so severe that your horse couldn't walk you wouldn't have posted this question before calling the vet.
