Honestly, It's a lot of work and responsiblity and A LOT of expenses. By taking lessons you can advance and then after a year of sticking with it maybe your dad will see that you are responsible enough to lease. I think that your dad just needs information on it first and by taking lessons you both can learn. It takes a lot of time and money- your dad probably doesn't know anything about horses and is worried which he has a right to be! Parents hate it when their kids try to jump into things so just take it slow- it's best for everyone. see if you can lease a horse. You should wrote a report of fact and statistics.
