My young horse only came home from the breakers about 6 weeks ago and has been ok till now! Every time i saddle him he bucks and goes over top of who ever is holding him. He never wins as he always gets disiplined and ridden etc but any ideas on how to get him out of this?

I agree with Loganwldr. Let the horse loose with a saddle on in a round pen and longe him or make him trot around the pen, both directions. He should buck out and get the energy "edge" worn off before you step into the saddle. He just needs a lot of work and practice. As long as he isn't bucking the saddle off, or bucking you off, you're okay. But be really careful. He will get better with a lot of longeing before riding, and then a good long ride every day. If you can't handle him, get a different trainer. He really shouldn't be bucking at this point, but if you don't work him daily, the reason could be just too much energy. Good luck, and stay safe! he is just saddle shy.
if he's "bad" when you put the saddle on, you should let hum go in a small arena or round pen and let him buck if he wants to. after hes done bucking he will realize its OK. Also, this may take a few sessions.
P.S. my mother does this and she is a professional English horse trainer, and this is what she would do in this situation. Careful there! Maybe get advice from a pro! Sounds to me like he is still unbroke! Hope you didnt pay to much to that breaker! Does he do it for a living? Or work else where during the day? Ask him that, good trainers dont need another job, to much good money in a pro trainer! he jumps on who ever is holding him? does that mean you have someone holding the rope when u saddle him? thats not a very good idea. i would tie him up so he cant rear or somethin. try giving him hay when u saddle him to get him occupied with somethin else then trying to kill someone. make sure nothing in under the saddle or his mane isnt getting caught under the saddle to make him act up. By now he's gotten a bad association with the saddle. He knows discipline is coming, perhaps he ius unsure about what is expected from him in the saddling up part.
