I heard of an owner that had a horse that bites there shoulders when they lead it, so the owner wore thicker coates! Now thats funny! I know this, I never bit the hand that fed me when I was growing up! Can we say some one lost respect! But no, dont smack him on the nose, thats abuse! Wait till he tears flesh, you have to have fingers sewed on, then tell me who has been abused!

Ok so clearly you are attacking my answer in the previous question, so I'm just gonna so I apologize if I have offended you in any way, I was just trying to offer my opinion and I hope that in the future we can continue to both offer our opinions, though they may be different, in order to help younger riders and people that could benefit from our experience. Lol Not going to lie to you guys, I have no objection to smacking a horse if it needs it, but I have had a few studs turn it into a game. My cousin from down the Texas coast was visiting when I was a kid.

I was saddling a horse named Lady we just bought who bit. As I cinched her up, she turned her head and bit me on the arm so bad it stopped me cold.

This cousin I had never met before jumped over to a pile of lumber on the ground nearby, grabbed a piece and hit Lady square in the forehead, taking a step into the swing like a home run hitter.
