hamsters and gerbils are great. then you dont have to worry about them going to the bathroom somewhere while you are gone Mine. a horse i would suggest a Labrador Retriever. they have really good personalities and are eager to please. I have a apple head chihuahua that weighs 4 lbs and is very small. She don't mind to be left alone as long as she can get in my bed & sleep till I get back. Good Luck. Animals take a lot of care so just think about it for awhile. a dog a rabbit
