(I don't know, but cute question) because they know it'll leave a wart..! If something 150 times bigger than you picked you up you would pee yourself too. i know i would pee if something reached out of the sky and picked me up!! They get scared easily. You picking them up: to them its like a predator grabbing them! Cuz you picked them up at a bad time? A lot of smaller animals pee when you pick them up mostly out of fright. If they pee, it means they don't want to be held. My turtles pee when I pick them up all the time (and one of them shot projectile pee on the vet while he was being examined). It seems like a defense they'd use in nature.they'd be picked up in another animal's mouth. Some shoot poisons, so I guess the ones that don't have that mechanism will shoot pee. they're scared.

and alot of predators are sensitive to it for some reason. smell, irritation. cause you scared the pee out of them What would YOU do if a giant, furry thing picked you up the same way? They drink water all day, just that when someone does pick them up, they will P on you. Just like R. Kelly.
