Also, you may want to keep ion mind some people are just used to talking with a certain quirkiness and they don't mean to be rude and/or belittling. So what's in your gob then, eh? Maybe it's a thing called Education including grammar & English. Wot du u thnk? Ah, I can answer this one, old chap. It is simply because, as we're sooooo well bread between one another, we're soooo scraping the bottom of the gene pool, we barely have two separate chromosomes to rub together. That's why we have trouble completeing coherent. never heard you talk,so can't comment One should speak correctly, innit! i kin nunderstand ye,i dinnae like snobs Because they like to imagine they're better than everybody else, that's why they've invented their own way of talking, so it's easier to find each other. I am not posh, I am from a very plebeian background, and my English is far from perfect. I went to an ordinary school, but here's the thing, I decided to take advantage of the free education that was provided there!

I was brought up to believe that accent is fine, dialect is a wondrous thing, but wilful abandonment of English to establish some class credential is just being a complete twat. Good Question.I was born and brought up in a Ghetto in Glasgow..a real den of iniquity. Fortunately..My father made a few smart moves that made a few quid and got us out of the Ghetto.I never forget where I came from & I do not talk yah-yah..like an anal retentive mutant.. I could probably call myself Posh.. but .I am just another ordinary Joe.. .but I have lost my Junkie East End twang accent no wit a mean..? .& I now speak properly.. I would say - Speak the way you would like to be spoken to. Thar's a lot of posh people in Essex but they dont speak plummy, I use to do a lot of sailing where I live and found out that many of the plummy voices were a put on anyway, especially the louder ones. load of people basically thinking they are something they are not and the manners were awful, please and thank you were practically swear wrods to them. 'proper' is subjective Quite. ignorant sod! I am quite posh- or my accent is- what is wrong with that? If you judge by how people speak, or how they say something - like using weird words- I don't think you'll find that you'll get anywhere in life. If you do not mean it in that way then I owe you an apology that comes with a free pear (joking) lol :( or (:
