And besides you couldn't tell a snake to sit or shake anyways. if you train is good i think yes but i m sure its alot harder and dangerous Only if you command your snake to squirm. Are you serious?? Of course not! LOL! A snake is not like a dog and you can not train it like a dog its a snake a reptile!! Can I train my fish to obey like a dog?? LOL! certainly and did you know cows can fly too Wow, five responses so far and nobody has mentioned that snakes can NOT HEAR. They can feel vibrations through their jaw, but they certainly wouldn't be able to hear anything spoken.

Also, they don't have the mental capacity to learn anything except for the most rudimentary responses such as getting alert when it's time to eat. Snakes do not hear air born sounds. You would have to teach him sign language first. So basically no. well in India street performers earn money by getting Cobra's to "dance". The snakes are kept in shallow reed baskets covered of course, until the performer removes the lid of the shallow basket and blows on a gourd like instrument {similar though thicker than a flute} he weaves the instrument just a foot or so from the snake and the snake dances to the movement as if hypnotized, ____but of course snakes are deaf and the cobra just follows the movements_____, nevertheless its fantastic to watch, so i guess you would never get them to follow verbal commands like dogs. its difficult to make a snake under ur control but some people can..r u havin any in ur home and why u want to talk with them..lol!. Chris As said before snakes can not hear, but I have a savanna monitor lizard that is paper trained and can stand on his hind legs. No. Definitely not. I think my dog must be deaf , like all snakes are, since he doesn't come when called either.
