Hey there. Bearded Dragons have become popular pets because of the relative ease in taming this species. You will beable to tell the sign that the lil guy feels threatened and in when you should just leave him be. A gaping mouth is a sure sign he is feeling threatened. Gentle and regular handling will establish trust between the two of you. First you have to handle him and if he is really feeling threated then it is possible you could get bit. But it wont last long and if he is small it wont be that bad. Try not to jerk away if you do get bit, that makes it worse.
If you just got him, let him get used to your presence for a few days before you reach in to grab him. yes If it has a mouth, it can bite. Do you have a leash for it? Any reptile is prone to biting.. stick your finger infront of it and find out.duh
dont forget the gloves! depends on how much you handle him, he less you handle him the more chance of a bit, the more you handle him the less chance. Nah, just spit out a flame and burn you. Himmm, lets see,,,,I am as ugly as George Bush's , I am a kind of Dragon,,,,and my owner is pretty gutless and clueless if I'll bite him.

Any animal can bite if threatened or scared. You must handle him a lot in order for him to trust you. I had experiance with beardies for many years and ive never been biten intentionally. I have hand fed a few their greens before and they accidently nipped me, but not meaning too.
