allso this snake was given to me bout 3 to 4 feet they siad it was held and raised being held sinse he/she was a baby but for the last 2 years it hadn..

It will take a long time to get that human interaction again.perhaps up to 6 months, but it can get it back.

As for feeding.small to medium rats.3-4 at a time..every 3-4 weeks. You must keep continuous water for him, as they dehydrate fast!

No. They generally eat mice. Mice should be killed first to prevent them from hurting the snake. Pet store will tell you how. Some snakes just won't eat dead food, however. A few mice or a couple small rats every 10 - 14 days should be sufficient. The snake should adjust to being handled again. Pythons are not usually aggressive. they eat white mice and i think they have to eat atleast a few throughout 3 weeks to live. i think they can live 3 weeks without eating. At 4 feet she could easily eat medium sized rats, or larger. She will get used to being handled again if you are not shy about handling her. I have 2 adult ball pythons about 3 1/2 to 4 ft and I feed them every 7 to 10 days, and remember feed them a rat or mouse the size of the thickest part of their body .Mine, I feed them medium size rats.And yes ,you can get them used to being held again,just pick it up every day ,twice or 3 times a day .my female every time I go to pick her up, she acts like she will bite me ,but she doesn't,I think she is hungry all the time. i have two and i feed them 2-3 live mice every 2 weeks some people will only feed them once a month my one python will not eat from January through April which is not uncommon, some pythons will go 6-8 months without eating It seems to be ball python question day.
