do anoles turn brown in there invierment? i have a female anole but the invierment has REPTI BARK as the beding,a under tank heating pad, a water dish, a fake plant, a wooden hutch and a real wooden tree limb. i know they tern brown when strest or ill ,but it don't stay brown for a long time. i don't have a thermomiter in the 10 gallon tank /do i need one? i feed my anole out door crickets from my lawn is that good for them? we don't put any thing on are lawn like pestasides. i feed her meal worms and crickets when i feel like it. when it don't eat it i put it back in my carying cage so they don't eat my anole. how many time's am i supposed to mist my anole? i mist her like 3-4 times a day is that good? i just got it and it costed me 60 dollars for everything they are expesive the first time you buy for you'r anole. i need a answer please.

Anoles do not change color voluntarily. They change unwillingly, but it still has significance. A green Anole that is solid green, is in good health. If a green Anole is brown for a prolonged period of time, it is either very stressed, or very ill. If a green Anole is temporarily brown is may be frightened, or cold - meaning it is darker to easily absorb more heat.
Do not get the crickets from the wild, get them from a breeder or pet store. Wild crickets can be harmful.
