I agree with the locusts being too big for a baby. You need to adjust the size of the food to fit the size of the cham. The food offered should be no wider the the width of it's mouth. Crickets primarily, supplemented with mealworms, superworms, waxworms, butterworms, etc. Butterworms should be fed often because they do have a high calcium content, but they are also a bit high in fat.so it's not that good as a staple food.but definitely a food fed often. Here's a couple of really good websites on cham care. Do you buy locusts or 'hoppers'?
If your reptile is only a baby, then locusts may well be too big for him to eat and therefore he's scared of them. My suggestion would be to buy 'hoppers' which are immature locusts, they are smaller and therefore more suitable for a baby reptile. Failing that, you could buy crickets, though i hate these as they make such a noise and easily escape. When my Chinese water dragon was a baby, he only ever are crickets or 'hoppers' and never locusts. is it vegetarian ?
