I'm not sure where you are located, but the only places I was able to come up with is in the United Kingdom and Canada.

I don't think chipmunks would make a good pet, they belong in the wild. maybe instead of chipmunks, you could try something similar like gerbils or hamsters. I don't know of any "domesticated " chipmunks; in which case you'll have to obtain a permit to keep a non-domestic animal. I had a pet ground squirrel (thirteen striped) when I was younger and before all the conservation laws were enacted. We rescued it from the cat. It was a cute pet until it matured. They bit like hell when they got older. They are cute and soo fast. It was a cute pet when it was young, but the time came to release him. If they don't turn "mean" by the end of fall, they will by spring. I don't think that is even leagal and how would you know what to feed there is no such thing as commercial chip munk food.
