As an owner of 2 girls, soon to be 3, I have experienced pop corning on several occasionas. It is the most funniest thing to watch, they jump with their back and front end sort of wiggling, it almost looks like the guinea pig is fitting in mid air.

As for the noise, that is what guinea pigs do. They talk, I am able to tell through the different squeaks what my girls want, and so can you by using the following sites:

If your guinea pig had a lice or a tick it would be constantly scratching and often a loss of hair is noticed. If it was to be a tick you can often see it. Here is a site on parasites:

Good Luck!! My guinea pigs did it all the time when I first got them, especially at night. They don't do it much any more now that they are older. if it is running aroound and jumping it is most likely popcorning. it means it is happy and full of energy. it is a good thing, dont be worried
