I think I recall that you just bought your pig recently. Pet store pigs are VERY young. That's a factor to thin about too your guinea pig may be getting sick. i have 3 guinea pigs with mites right now, and one of them has lost 1 pound! make sure your feeding him alot of friuts and veggetables. they should always have hay, and they need lots of vitamin c. your supposed to feed them 3 friuts and one veggetable every day. my guine pigs love kale and strawberries. try feeding him those. an average guine pig weighs 2 pounds. so go ahead and take him to the vet, and keep feeding him a lot!! Make sure your giving him pellets, hay, and veggies. Mine love carrots, bell peppers, apple(peeled and without seeds), bananas, and parsly. You might give him as much as he wants until he gets fatter.
