That's a good question I have wondered that myself so many "how too" questions on here for simple common sense things.When the "cuteness" wears off so does the everyday job of real taking care of,the animals are left to their own devices and most develop bad habits.Most "pets need lots of love and attention and its a long term commitment.Thanks for your question. They fall in love with the cute things, and are not realistic. They are not smart enough to take care of themselves in most cases. They see something and want it... its the society we live in... its a consumer's society and we are taught this through the media to want the next biggest thing and discard what we have. bacause it is different to them. they think more about what they want first. but maybe they will find out how to take care of it Some people don't think about the fact that a living thing will be under their care and depend on them for every need.

All they see is that they want some cute or cool pet. Also, we live in a 'throw away society' where if you get bored or the animal is too much to care for, you just toss it out. It's a shame really. People should do all of their research on a pet like how much it costs to vet, feed, house and also the time investment it takes everyday to keep an animal happy and in good health.

This isn't likely to change because there are people out there that do the same with their human children, so you can imagine the family pet isn't likely to fare any better.
