I have had my dwarf hamster, Buttons, for almost a year now. He has been kept in a tiny ickle cage, with no tubes and is generally boring. So I want to get him a new big cage with tubes and toys etc. But as he has been kept in his cage so long, will he be ok with moving to a different cage? Should I introduce him a few hours a day or something like that, maybe?

dont worry about it, it might take him a while to get used to the tubes and how to use them, but he will love the new cage, and the chance to learn how to do something new. He will be perfectly happy in a new larger funner cage to play in, and you should put him in there as soon as possible. He will live longer since he will no longer be so bored no it will be exciting for him No he will love it. He will be scouting around as soon as you put him in.
