Will my new guinea drink his wat..

Brief：
we just got my piggie yesterday and he eats and plays with his toys but i dont know if he knows where his water is.what can i to show him or will he f..

we just got my piggie yesterday and he eats and plays with his toys but i dont know if he know's where his water is.what can i to show him or will he find it him self?

I'm sure he knows that it's his water bottle since he DID have one in his cage at the pet store/where ever you got him. He may just be getting a drink when you weren't looking.

I got me a new guinea pig yesterday as well. I've never seen her drinking water from her water bottle but, she had one in her cage at the pet store so I'm sure she's drunk the water when I wasn't looking.

What you can do is hold the bottle up to his face and let him drink from it, this will get him a drink of course, he'll get to see what it looks like, and he'll get a scent of it. Then, put the water bottle back where you had it. Get a strong smelling treat. Maybe a cheerio, or strawberry, or blue berry, and hold it under the water bottle until your piggie comes over. Lift the treat up to the tip of the bottle until he finds and sees the bottle. Then give him the treat. Do this a couple of times. Good luck! And have fun with your new furry friend! It took me several days to see my guinea pig drink from her water bottle for the first time, I was so worried that I place a container underneath and filled it with water, I promptly took it out after seeing her drink. Most guinea pigs do their drinking, or the majority of it at night, I would not worry too much, he should find it himself. If you are really worried do what I did and place a container underneath the bottle. yes Your your piggie wil be thursty trust me she is going to find his water. yes he eventually will. if its like the same thing as it ws in the petstore he will. he will soon learn in time where his water is so don't worry
