Leave it 2 water bottles, it will be fine, and fill the food dish to the top. yea! no hamster could live for more than three days without water! Leave an extra bowl of water in it's cage. If the water doesn't dry up, it should be ok.

It's a bit risky, so see if you can get a neighbor or friend to come check up on your hamster. If the hamster will have water and plenty of food it should be okay. If you only give it a small bowl to drink out of, you might consider taking the hamster with you. If that is not possible, maybe find someone that is responsible enough to care for your hamster while you are gone. no. nothing(but a camel) can last more than 48 hours without water. just in case, put in some pickle or cucumber slices in there. good luck! If you can't take it with you and have no one to watch it then just make sure it has enough water for the four days. It should be ok if it at least has water, it would be better if someone could watch it. I've left mine with enough water to last them awhile, they were with my parents but they don't like hamster and only fed and watered them if i told them to, and they lived, I was mad at my parents, but the hamsters lived at least. Just try to leave them enough food and water to last them. Does not have to be fresh water, just as long as he has water and food. You should have a hamster water bottle. It's okay if the water's not fresh, but a hamster should have water at all times. If you don't have a water bottle, get one, it's a good investment. No, you are being inhumane. If you cannot get help to come in for your hamster, or refuse to board your hamster at your vet, then you need to stay home, instead of "goin away."
