I have 2 dwarf hamsters and I think that they are wonderful pets. They tame very easily and live long. I got my hamsters at $14 each. I think that either one is good. for a first time owner it would be best to get teddy bear hamsters because they are bigger and easier to hold!!!
They cost about 10 dollars!! to 15 or maybe 20!! But that is just the hamster. At Petco I see dwarf hamsters that are 10 dollars so probably 10 dollars! Dwarf hamsters are about $10 ranging to about $15 at most petstores. The cool thing about dwarfs are that every species is different ( some playful, some lay down in your hand etc. )
One isnt better than the other, its just what you prefer. I prefer Dwarfs. There really is no difference other than size and life length. Dwarfs are smaller, and live shorter, A Regualar is bigger and live longer. the kind of "witch" you mean is which. i use to work for a pet store and for you being a first time hamster owner I would go for a teddy bear hamster they are less agressive and easer to tame Dwarf hamsters will range from $10.00 - $20.00 and a regular hamster $15.00 - $30.00.DON'T BUY IT ON-LINE!! My friend bought a hamster on-line and when she got sent it ,it was dead buy it at a pet store. I have a dwarf hamster and i had a regular hamster u should get a regular hamster trust me they are much easier to take care of. (I'm a vet)
