i would say like a hamster...? if she really wants one she probably knows how y dont you ask her... they sell chinchilla kits at pecto petsmart all of those pet stores its normally a two story cage they need a hanging tent/ bed to sleep in and eat chinchilla food. they have a power for them to bath in its call chinchilla dust also get it a wheel ~!! fucken look it up dont be soo lazy gosh *** hole! I would start by researching chinchillas. There's some good sites out there for chinchillas that have tons of information. I can let you know that chinchillas don't travel well and get stressed out. There's a lot of factors to consider before I would purchase a pet.
