Good Luck!! Good for you! Pigs are very good pets. Did you know that piggies should be housed in PAIRS? They can get lonely & depressed if kept by themselves.

Please consider adopting your new piggie from a shelter or rescue. There are many cool piggies out there that desperately need a home & would be so grateful if you would adopt them. Best of luck! Congrats! The cost would be around 10-25 dollars for the piggy. It's great to rescue, but for your first time, i don't recomend it untill you know first hand how to deal with wellbred pigs. I recomend getting one from a reputable breeder. You can adopt or rescue one from http://www.petfinder.com or http://www.cavyspirit .com and go to adopting. it is always better to rescue a piggy. i just got mine from a local pet store like pet supplys plus or pet pervisions. she was around $20. but she lived 7 years! From my local PetsMart they cost $30. I HIGHLY recomend adopting. They live longer, can be bought younger, and are usually most social, as they get more human attention.
